Yasiel Puig’s injury-hampered year continues. Last night he left the Dodgers-A’s game with hamstring tightness after running out a single in the eighth inning. He’ll have an MRI this morning.
Puig missed two months with a pulled hamstring earlier this year. He said after the game this one doesn’t feel as serious as that one, but the MRI will let everyone know for sure.
Puig is hitting .250/.320/.434 with 10 homers and 35 RBI on the season. When he went down with his first hamstring injury he was hitting .279/.380/.465.
