Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado was a late scratch from Monday’s series opener against the Padres due to soreness in his left wrist and left fielder Corey Dickerson had to exit in the fourth inning after experiencing a flareup of the plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Now they are both absent from the Colorado starting lineup on Tuesday night.

Rafael Ynoa will handle the hot corner and bat ninth versus Padres righty Brandon Morrow. Charlie Blackmon is in left field. Drew Stubbs is in center.

Arenado and Dickerson, who’ve combined for five home runs, 20 RBI, and 18 runs scored in 10 games this season, are both expected to return Wednesday.

Colorado is off to a 7-6 start this season, tied for third in the National League West.
