Video: Adam Engel robs Yankees of home run for second straight night

Last night, Adam Engel made an outstanding grab to rob Yankees first baseman Greg Bird of a three-run home run. It was ultimately for naught, as the White Sox went on to lose 7-0.

Engel played hero again on Tuesday night against the Yankees, this time robbing Kyle Higashioka of a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning. Engel’s catch prevented the Yankees from tying the game at 1-1. It also kept Reynaldo Lopez‘s no-hit bid alive.

Lopez would lose his no-hit bid the next inning, as Aaron Hicks led off the frame with a ground-rule double to left-center. He was, however, stranded on base. The Yankees tied the game at 1-1 when Miguel Andujar led off the seventh with a solo home run off of Lopez.
