Indians designate Juan Uribe for assignment

For every player acquired, one has to go. Sadly, sometimes, the one who has to go is a fan favorite. The Indians just designated Juan Uribe — a fan favorite of just about every team he’s ever played for — for assignment in order to make roster room for Andrew Miller and Brandon Guyer.

Uribe has had a tough year, hitting .206/.259/.332 with seven homers in 73 games. That’s just not going to cut it for a contender.
