José Berríos to start Opening Day for Twins

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli has selected José Berríos to start on Opening Day for the Twins, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. It will be the second consecutive Opening Day start for Berríos.

Berríos, 25, was an All-Star for the second time last year, finishing 14-8 with a 3.68 ERA along with 195 strikeouts and 51 walks across 200 1/3 innings. He will lead a rotation that also includes Jake Odorizzi as well as newcomers Kenta Maeda and Homer Bailey.

The Twins will open the season in Oakland against the Athletics on March 26.
