The Diamondbacks announced a handful of roster moves ahead of Monday night’s game against the Cardinals, one of which was the activation of outfielder A.J. Pollock from the 10-day disabled list. The others: pitcher Troy Scribner was released, pitcher Silvino Bracho and IF/OF Christian Walker were optioned to Triple-A Reno, and pitcher Joey Krehbiel’s contract was purchased from Triple-A.

Pollock, 30, suffered an avulsion fracture in his left thumb when he attempted to make a diving catch against the Brewers in mid-May. He was in the midst of a fantastic start to the season, batting .293/.349/.620 with 11 home runs and 33 RBI in 166 plate appearances.

Pollock is in Monday’s lineup, batting fourth and playing center field. Jarrod Dyson handled center while Pollock was out. He’ll sink to fourth on the D-Backs’ outfielder depth chart.
