I woke up this morning, election day, to a blood-red sunrise. I’m sure that was not a portent of anything dastardly or sinister. I’m just gonna pretend everything is fine. At least as long as there are no more signs of the End Times before I have another cup of coffee.
[Tim] Tebow hit a walk-off single with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning to give the Scottsdale Scorpions a 4-3 victory over the Mesa Solar Sox in front of 1,012 at Scottsdale Stadium.
Welp, been nice knowin’ y’all.
In other news, Tebow credited Reggie Jackson for his success last night, saying he had a pregame conversation with Mr. October about how to deal with the opposition busting him inside with fastballs. I’m gonna assume Jackson just said “swing better” or something, as the linked article suggests that Tebow has been mostly beyond help and far out of his depth in the Fall League this year. A “farce” as one scout put it.
But hey, even a farce can get lucky once in a while.
