The Giants have exercised their 2017 option worth $7 million for lefty starter Matt Moore, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.

Moore, 27, pitched for the Rays through the end of July before being sent to the Giants. Overall, in 33 starts, he compiled a 4.08 ERA with a 178/72 K/BB ratio over 198 1/3 innings. His best moment came on August 25, when he finished one out shy of pitching a no-hitter for the Giants against the division rival Dodgers. Moore also made an outstanding start in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Cubs, pitching eight strong innings in a game the Giants would ultimately lose.

Moore has club options for the 2018 and ’19 seasons as well. His 2018 option is worth $9 million with a $1 million buyout. His 2019 option is worth $10 million with a $750,000 buyout.
