Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Marlins are expected to listen to trade offers for shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria and second baseman Derek Dietrich in an attempt to boster their pitching. The Marlins will also listen to offers for outfielder Marcell Ozuna and second baseman Dee Gordon, but the club would prefer to keep both players.

Dietrich, 27, is entering his first year of arbitration eligibility. He had a solid season, batting .279/.374/.425 with 32 extra-base hits, 42 RBI, and 39 runs scored in 412 plate appearances. While he has mostly played second base for the Marlins, he’s quite versatile, having logged nearly 400 innings in the outfield, over 260 innings at third base, and nearly 100 innings at first base.

Hechavarria, 27, is entering his second year of arbitration eligibility after earning $2.625 million this past season. While he doesn’t offer much with the bat — he finished the 2016 regular season with a .236/.283/.311 triple-slash line over 547 plate appearances — he’s among the best defensive shortstops in the league.
