Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison will miss the remainder of the season due to a strained right groin suffered on Saturday night, MLB.com’s Adam Berry reports. Harrison suffered the injury rounding first base on a double against the Reds in the sixth inning of Saturday’s game.

Harrison, 29, was once again unable to find the All-Star form he showed in 2014. He finishes this season with a .283/.311/.388 triple-slash line with 36 extra-base hits, 59 RBI, 57 runs scored, and 19 stolen bases in 522 plate appearances.

Sean Rodriguez and Adam Frazier should be expected to handle second base the rest of the way for the Wild Card-hopeful Pirates.
