Bartolo Colon walked for the first time in his 19-year career

We normally wouldn’t post a video of a dude taking a walk, but this isn’t just any dude. It’s Bartolo Colon who, in his 19 seasons in the major leagues had never walked before. Ever. But last night Robbie Ray of the Diamondbacks gave him a free pass.

Maybe Ray was just being cautious. I mean, Colon did homer earlier this year. Once a guy shows you how dangerous he can be, you have to respect that, right?

For his career, Colon is now a .089/.099/.113 hitter in 282 plate appearances. And Robbie Ray is probably gonna hear about that variation between Colon’s average and on-base percentage for the rest of his life.
