Giants starter Matt Cain is back on the disabled list with a hamstring strain, CSN Bay Area’s Alex Pavlovic reports. The club recalled pitcher Chris Stratton from Triple-A Sacramento.

Cain, 31, was activated for Monday’s start against the Brewers after his first stint on the DL with a hamstring injury. He lasted 3 2/3 innings, serving up three runs on five hits and five walks with three strikeouts.

Cain now owns a 5.34 ERA with a 41/18 K/BB ratio over 57 1/3 innings.
