When Pablo Sandoval was placed on the disabled list, many of us raised an eyebrow. There had been no report of any incident which might have led to such an injury and the Sox placed him on the DL without doing an MRI or anything. The thinking was that the move was simply to eliminate a problem for a while and to push Sandoval to work on his conditioning.
Now, however, there is a basis for thinking that maybe there is something wrong with him after all, as Ken Rosenthal reports that Sandoval will receive a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews.
Guess we’ll see.
