Red Sox DH David Ortiz is retiring, so Tuesday marked his final Opening Day. He left a mark, literally and figuratively, as he drilled a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning against Indians reliever Trevor Bauer, boosting the Red Sox lead to 6-2.

As MLB on FOX noted on Twitter, Ortiz now has five Opening Day home runs, the most among active players. Jimmy Rollins and Bryce Harper have four each. Ortiz also has 504 career home runs, tying him with Eddie Murray for 26th on baseball’s all-time home run leaderboard. Gary Sheffield is next at 509.
