This blast came off of Twins lefty Tommy Milone in the sixth inning of Thursday’s Grapefruit League exhibition. It gave the Marlins a short-lived 2-1 lead as they would go on to lose 8-4.
Stanton now has two home runs and a .300 average this spring. The 26-year-old played in only 74 games last season after fracturing the hamate bone in his left hand. It’s good to see Stanton hitting for power, as hamate bone injuries typically sap that even years afterward.
