Brewers outfielder Rymer Liriano was struck in the face by a pitch during Sunday’s spring training game against the Dodgers. He was carted off the field and reported to have suffered multiple facial fractures.
MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy provides some good news: Liriano was discharged from the hospital on Monday and visited his teammates in Arizona at Maryvale Baseball Park. Per McCalvy, manager Craig Counsell that Liriano still has a long way to go in his recovery. More from Counsell:
Liriano, 24, was acquired by the Brewers from the Padres in January in exchange for minor leaguer Trevor Seidenberger. Liriano made his major league debut in 2014, hitting .220 over 121 plate appearances.
