You can bet ESPN’s Jayson Stark will have a field day with this one. The Braves took on the Astros in a Grapefruit League exhibition on Wednesday afternoon and it was a pretty normal game except for one interesting detail: first basemen Freddie Freeman and Nate Freiman both homered out of the third spot in the batting order.
Freeman’s two-run shot came in the third inning, tying the game at two apiece. Freiman’s was a solo job that reduced the Braves’ deficit to 8-5 in the seventh.

It makes for an interesting box score.
The Braves signed Freiman shortly after he was released by the Athletics. While he’s not in any way a threat to Freeman’s job at first base, he can swing the bat and could provide some value off the bench if he makes the roster.
