Collin Cowgill was likely to be non-tendered by the Angels ahead of Wednesday’s midnight ET deadline, but the club found a trade partner for him instead.’s Alden Gonzalez reports that Cowgill has been dealt to the Indians in a straight-up deal for cash considerations.

Cowgill batted just .188/.233/.290 in 74 plate appearances this past season for Anaheim and owns a brutal .528 career OPS versus right-handed pitching, but the 29-year-old plays very good outfield defense — especially in the corners.

He’s a decent depth addition for Cleveland’s bench.
