Brewers exercise $8 million option on Adam Lind

Making official what was expected, the Brewers exercised their $8 million option on first baseman Adam Lind for 2016.

Acquired from the Blue Jays in exchange for Marco Estrada last year at this time, Lind hit .277 with 20 homers, 32 doubles, and an .820 OPS in 149 games for the Brewers.

Bringing him back for $8 million was an easy call for the Brewers, who could always look to trade Lind if they don’t want a 32-year-old first baseman as part of the rebuild.
