Mets infielder Juan Uribe will travel with the team as the World Series begins in Kansas City, ESPN’s Adam Rubin reports. The Mets are expected to make a decision on his roster status on Monday.

Uribe has been sidelined since September 20 due to a bruised chest. He suffered the injury diving for a ball at second base against the Yankees.

Uribe, 36, hit .219/.301/.430 with six home runs and 20 RBI in 143 plate appearances after coming over to the Mets following a trade with the Braves. The veteran of 15 seasons will be eligible for free agency shortly after the World Series is over.
