The Daniel Murphy show continues in Los Angeles.

After his nifty baserunning play resulted in the tying run in the fourth inning, Murphy slugged a solo home run off Zack Greinke in the top of the sixth inning to give the Mets a 3-2 lead. It’s his third home run of the series. By the way, the other two came off Clayton Kershaw.

Murphy is due to become a free agent after the season. He could be playing his final game in a Mets uniform, but he’s doing his best to delay that scenario right now.

Here’s the video of the home run:

Jacob deGrom clearly hasn’t had it tonight, but he has gutted through five innings while throwing 92 pitches. He’s still in the game as we’re headed to the bottom of the sixth inning at Dodger Stadium.
