Blue Jays reliever Aaron Loup missed the final two games of the ALDS against the Rangers due to a family matter, but Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports that he’s expected to be available for the ALCS against the Royals. The series kicks off Friday night at Kauffman Stadium.

With Brett Cecil sidelined due to a torn left calf muscle, Loup is the lone left-hander in Toronto’s bullpen at the moment. The 27-year-old posted a 4.46 ERA and 46/7 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3 innings during the regular season.

By the way, Cecil threw off flat ground today and still hopes to make it back if the Blue Jays advance to the World Series.
