Here are the Astros and Royals lineups for Game 5 of the ALDS in Kansas City:

ASTROS:
2B Jose Altuve
RF George Springer
SS Carlos Correa
LF Colby Rasmus
CF Carlos Gomez
DH Evan Gattis
3B Luis Valbuena
1B Chris Carter
C Jason Castro

SP Collin McHugh

Houston is using the same lineup as Game 4, with one minor change to the batting order as Carlos Gomez and Evan Gattis flip places.

ROYALS:
SS Alcides Escobar
2B Ben Zobrist
CF Lorenzo Cain
1B Eric Hosmer
DH Kendrys Morales
3B Mike Moustakas
C Salvador Perez
LF Alex Gordon
RF Alex Rios

SP Johnny Cueto

Business as usual for the Royals, who’re sticking with their standard lineup and standard batting order while counting on Johnny Cueto to pitch like the ace they thought they were acquiring from the Reds in July.

The Athletic’s James Fegan reports that the White Sox are shutting down starter Lucas Giolito for the remainder of a season. An MRI revealed a mild lat strain, which typically comes with a three- to four-week recovery timetable. The third-place, 65-84 White Sox have nothing left to play for, so it makes sense to play it safe with their prized young hurler.

Giolito, 25, had a breakout season. He went 14-9 with a 3.41 ERA and a 228/57 K/BB ratio in 176 2/3 innings. He made his first All-Star team and will likely earn a few downballot votes for the AL Cy Young Award.

Giolito was scheduled to start Tuesday’s series opener against the Twins. Ross Detwiler will start in his place opposite Martín Pérez.
