Mets manager Terry Collins squelched any thought that Jacob deGrom would be starting Game 4 of the NLDS against the Dodgers (if necessary), calling it “unrealistic”, per MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo. Lefty Steven Matz would start Game 4 at Citi Field.

deGrom dazzled in Friday night’s NLDS opener at Dodger Stadium, striking out 13 while tossing seven scoreless innings. In doing so, he felled three-time Cy Young Award-winner Clayton Kershaw.

Matt Harvey will oppose Brett Anderson in Game 3, the Mets’ first playoff game at home since Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS.
