Zack Greinke scratched from tonight’s start with calf injury

Dodgers right-hander and National League ERA leader Zack Greinke has been scratched from tonight’s scheduled start against the Diamondbacks due to calf soreness.

According to a statement released by the team Greinke is expected to take his next turn in the rotation, so presumably it’s a minor injury and the playoff-bound Dodgers are mostly just being cautious.

Greinke has logged 208 innings in 30 starts with an MLB-best 1.65 ERA and 185/36 K/BB ratio. Since signing with the Dodgers prior to the 2013 season he has a 50-15 record and 2.31 ERA in 90 total starts.
