Another big night for the Texas Rangers.
Cole Hamels struck out 12 batters over seven innings of one-run ball and Adrian Beltre went 3-for-4 with three RBI as the American League West-leading Rangers stomped the visiting Mariners 10-1 on Saturday night in Arlington, Texas.
The big margin of victory lifted the Rangers’ season-long run differential to an even 0. The Astros, who boast a run differential of +88 after their 10-6 victory over the A’s, sit 2 1/2 games back of Texas entering play Sunday.
