The Diamondbacks have activated starter Jeremy Hellickson from the disabled list, the team announced on Twitter on Friday afternoon. The right-hander left his August 17 start with a strained left hamstring.

Hellickson tossed six innings in a rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A Reno ahead of Friday’s activation. It’s unknown when he’ll make his first start back in the D-Backs’ rotation.

Hellickson, across 23 starts, has a 4.60 ERA with a 107/37 K/BB ratio in 129 innings. The D-Backs picked him up last November in a trade with the Rays, sending a pair of minor leaguers to Tampa Bay.
