Mat Latos scratched from start with stiff neck

As first reported by Eric Stephen at SB Nation’s True Blue LA, the Dodgers have scratched right-hander Mat Latos from his scheduled start Wednesday night against the Angels due to neck stiffness. Joe Wieland is going to take the mound instead for the Dodgers in what will be just his second major league appearance of the season.

Latos has struggled to the tune of a 6.56 ERA and 1.54 WHIP through five starts with Los Angeles since being brought over from the Marlins in late July.

The 27-year-old impending free agent had a 4.48 ERA and 1.25 WHIP through 16 starts with Miami.
