Alex Rodriguez accomplished a couple of different feats when he slugged a solo shot off Orioles right-hander Kevin Gausman on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.
It was the 30th home run of the season for A-Rod, which gives him 15 different 30-homer campaigns. That’s tied with Hank Aaron for the most in MLB history.
It was also A-Rod’s 3,056th career hit, moving him past Rickey Henderson for sole possession of 22nd place on the all-time career hits list.
What a comeback season it has been for the heavily-criticized 40-year-old slugger.
