The last time we talked about Terry Collins’ job status was back in early June when Mets GM Sandy Alderson felt it necessary to say that Collins wasn’t on the hot seat despite a long skid from late April until that time during which most folks felt the Mets were sliding out of contention.
A month and a half later and the Mets were surging and now, a month after that, they are in the diver’s seat in the NL East and many people think Collins is Manager of the Year material. So, what does that mean for his job?
At a public appearance in Brooklyn, Sandy Alderson says #Mets will wait until after the season to address Terry Collins’ contract situation.

This is Collins’ fifth year at the helm of the Mets. He’s 376-402 (.483) in that time. But he and the Mets are sure having a lot more fun this year, which is the last year of his contract. And you have to figure that, barring a late season collapse, he has a ton of leverage at the moment.
