The other day the Tigers got a nice debut from Daniel Norris, one of the pitchers they got from the Blue Jays in the David Price trade. They may soon get contributions from one of the other pitchers in that deal:
Welp, some #Tigers news involving @MudHens. Went into lockerroom late after game, and Matt Boyd’s locker was EMPTY. Call up?

No word on that from the Tigers yet, but it’d make sense. The Tigers have to figure out what they have for next year and figuring out if Boyd is part of those plans is fairly important right now.
Boyd, at the time of the trade, was 9-2 with a 1.68 ERA across Double-A and Triple-A this season, with a K/BB ratio of 107/24 in 112.2 innings pitched. In the bigs he made two starts for the Jays and got torched, allowing 11 runs on 15 hits in six and two-thirds. So, no, the Tigers don’t know what they have. But maybe now they’ll find out.
