Video: Elvis Andrus threw his glove at a ball. That didn’t make his manager happy.

This happened on Saturday. Let he who has not thrown his mitt at a baseball he couldn’t catch in a rec softball league game cast the first stone:

Of course, if Andrus had hit the ball it wouldn’t have just been an RBI single. It would’ve been an automatic three-base error.

As Evan Grant reports, Andrus’ manager, Jeff Bannister, was not pleased with it:

“My reaction is that I don’t think that’s the way we want to play it,” Banister said. “I think it was a momentary lapse of awareness. It’s only the second time I’ve seen it in my career. I don’t think you will see it happen again here.”

Andrus, by the way, reported to camp in The Best Shape of His Life this past spring. He’s hitting .250/.301/.328 on the year.
