The time the minor leaguers got to the ballpark and found an alligator in their dugout


The Daytona Tortugas are at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Florida to play the Charlotte Stone Crabs in a high-A game. They likely will play, but first they have to get the gator out of their dugout:

Several other players from the Tortugas tweeted similar pictures. We can only assume that the gator likes sunflower seed shells and tobacco juice.

According to this story, was first discovered by groundskeepers. They called animal control in and the gator was captured and released into a swamp near the park.
