Fun fact from the OC Register: Jerry Dipoto, who just resigned Tuesday night as the Angels GM, put his house up for sale a month ago. Maybe he knew he wouldn’t be able to handle Mike Scioscia much longer. Indeed, if the contents of his house are any indication, he was full-on in stress-reduction mode already:
The 4,300-square-foot, four-bedroom house, in the guard-gated Bayshores community, was built in 2003 and has been remodeled. Features include dark hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, a surround sound system and a media room with state-of-the-art equipment and padded walls.
The gourmet chef’s kitchen has Bosch & Wolf appliances, and the family room includes three wine coolers. The master bedroom retreat has a sitting area with a fireplace and spacious deck.Outside is a large courtyard with a built-in kitchen area.
If I had to deal with Mike Scioscia I’d need a room with padded walls and all of the wine coolers I could drink too.
Or maybe I’m just reading that wrong. I dunno.
