Anthony Swarzak signs with Korean team

Anthony Swarzak, who went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment by the Indians last month, is headed to Korea to pitch for the Doosan Bears of the KBO.

Swarzak spent five seasons with the Twins as a fifth starter and long reliever and pitched reasonably well in 10 appearances for the Indians this season, but he’s basically a replacement-level pitcher with a 4.45 ERA and 5.6 strikeouts per nine innings for his career.
