Former No. 4 overall pick Daniel Moskos suspended 50 games for drug of abuse

Left-hander Daniel Moskos, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2007 draft by the Pirates, has been suspended 50 games after testing positive a second time for a drug of abuse.

Moskos ranks as one of the biggest draft busts in recent memory and hadn’t even signed with a team for this season after struggling at Triple-A for the past few years.

All of which means his 50-game suspension may never kick in, since as a free agent it won’t start ticking until he signs.
