We have been keeping you updated on the condition of Tonya Carpenter, the fan who was hit in the head by a shard of a broken bat at Fenway Park last Friday and hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. After being upgraded from serious to fair condition on Monday, she continues to make strides in her recovery.

According to CBSBoston.com, a spokeswoman for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center said Thursday that Carpenter’s condition has been upgraded from fair to “good.” Great to hear.

In the wake of the incident with Carpenter, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said Monday that the league plans to “re-evaluate” the issue of fan safety in stadiums.
