As first reported by Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, the Braves have agreed to terms on a minor league contract with left-handed reliever Dana Eveland.
Eveland opted out of a minor league deal with the Red Sox last week after going two months without a hint of a possible promotion. He had registered an impressive 1.54 ERA, 0.857 WHIP, and 20/3 K/BB ratio in 23 1/3 innings at Triple-A Pawtucket. The 31-year-old southpaw will report to Triple-A Gwinnett initially but should soon get a look in Atlanta.
David Aardsma, another veteran reliever, inked a minor league deal with the Braves on Saturday.
