Molly Knight just went to Japan and caught a baseball game there. Over at Sports on Earth she talks about the five things that we could and should be doing here to make our games more exciting.
I’m pro-beer girls (with the same reservations Molly has with respect to not turning it into dumb sexploitation) and visiting team merch and undecided on cheering sections. But, in general, anything that makes it more fun to go to a game is a good thing.
Given that “making a game more fun” these days seems limited to pumping in bad pop music and classic rock and playing the “every-body clap yo hands!” thing ten times a game, we could likely learn an awful lot from the Japanese.
