The Tigers are wearing t-shirts with pictures of their “Dreamy” manager

According to the foremost experts in comparative managerial handsomeness, Brad Ausmus is considered to the most handsome manager in baseball.

His team is well aware of this, it seems, and are having some fun with it:

Nearly every Tigers player was gifted a T-shirt Wednesday with Ausmus’ face plastered on it, along with the word “Dreamy,” spelled with an Olde English D.

The shirt, which plays off an Internet meme, is meant to poke fun at Ausmus, who is widely viewed as being one of the most handsome managers in baseball.

I feel like I deserve one of those shirts for free. Like, in lieu of a commission.

Or, like the rest of you, I could go and buy one at Big Water Apparel.

Houston’s Yordan Alvarez leaves game with ankle discomfort

Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

HOUSTON — Houston slugger Yordan Alvarez left the Astros’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fifth inning with left ankle discomfort.

Alvarez, who is tied for second in the American League with 37 home runs, rolled his ankle running out of the box on a single in the first inning.

He looked to be in some pain as he jogged to first base and was checked on briefly by manager Dusty Baker and a trainer before remaining in the game. Serving as the designated hitter, he struck out in the third inning before being replaced by pinch-hitter David Hensley for his at-bat in the fifth.
