Chris Tillman to rejoin Orioles’ rotation Thursday

Orioles righty Chris Tillman had to be scratched from his scheduled start this past Sunday against the Angels after experiencing stiffness in back.

But it was nothing more than a minor injury.

Rich Dubroff of reports that Tillman made it through a game of catch Tuesday without issue and has been cleared to start this Thursday afternoon at Camden Yards in the Orioles’ series finale against the Mariners.

Tillman, the Opening Day starter for the Orioles, owns a disappointing 6.34 ERA and 1.64 WHIP in 38 1/3 innings this season. He posted a 3.34 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 207 1/3 innings last year.
