Royals’ reliever Kelvin Herrera had a busy April. He was suspended five games for intentionally throwing at Oakland’s Brett Lawrie and was later suspended for two more games for his role in the brawl with the White Sox in Chicago. He appealed his seven games worth of suspensions, however, and now the decision is out:
#Royals Kelvin Herrera’s appeal has been heard, and his suspension has been reduced to 6 games. He will begin serving the suspension today

Good timing for the Royals, I suppose, as Greg Holland was just activated from the disabled list yesterday. One wonders if the timing of the decision on the suspension appeal was an accident or if this was a matter of MLB trying not to be too dang hard on the Royals.
