#Padres roster move; team places Brandon Morrow on the DL with right shoulder inflammation. LHP Frank Garces recalled.

Morrow held a potent Rockies lineup to two runs over six innings on Saturday, improving to 2-0 with a 2.73 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 23/7 K/BB ratio in 33 innings this season. He has a long and loaded history of injuries, but his shoulder hasn’t been an issue since 2010. Maybe it won’t be too long of an absence. The 30-year-old righty was looking like a tremendous offseason find for the Padres on a one-year, $2.5 million free agent deal.
