Jordan Walden lands on disabled list with biceps injury

As announced Sunday on the St. Louis Cardinals’ official Twitter account …

Walden felt discomfort in his right arm while warming up on Saturday afternoon. He told reporters after Saturday’s game that he’s not concerned, but it’s a scary situation for the Cardinals given how well the 27-year-old setup man pitched in April. Walden, the other piece St. Louis acquired in the Jason Heyward trade, owns a shiny 0.87 ERA and 12/4 K/BB ratio through 10 1/3 innings this season with his new team.

Tuivailala, a hard-throwing 22-year-old, had rattled off nine scoreless innings at Triple-A Memphis.
