Carlos Gomez expected to rejoin the Brewers on Saturday

Some rare good news for the Brewers, as manager Ron Roenicke indicated that center fielder Carlos Gomez is expected to come off the disabled list Saturday.

Gomez has been on the DL since April 16 with a stained right hamstring and would be returning without first going on a minor-league rehab assignment.

He was off to a slow start prior to the injury, but Gomez was one of the best all-around players in the NL last season while hitting .284 with 23 homers, 34 steals, and an .833 OPS in 148 games to go along with his standout defense.
