Rays get James Loney, Drew Smyly back from disabled list

Tampa Bay is getting healthy–or at least healthier–activating first baseman James Loney and left-hander Drew Smyly from the disabled list.

Loney has been out since April 7 with a strained oblique muscle and Smyly has been sidelined since spring training with shoulder soreness.

Allen Dykstra, who filled in for Loney at first base, is headed back to Triple-A after going 4-for-31 (.129) in 13 games. Smyly will likely be on a pitch count initially, because his longest minor-league rehab outing was just 3.2 innings.
