Heyward entered play Saturday with a weak .225/.244/.325 batting line, but he has hit plenty of balls hard and been playing tremendous defense in right field. St. Louis acquired the 25-year-old from Atlanta this offseason in a four-player trade that sent right-handers Shelby Miller and Tyrell Jenkins to the Braves. Heyward is due to become a free agent after the 2015 World Series. Maybe some more curtain calls will convince him to stay.
