Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw had to get some dental work done in late March after taking a soft line drive off his jaw during a Cactus League start against the Athletics. Kershaw did not have to miss a turn in the Dodgers’ spring training rotation and he won’t miss a regular-season outing either, but the left-hander does need to pay one more visit to a dentist.

Kershaw allowed three runs but struck out nine batters over six innings Monday in his 2015 debut — a 6-3 defeat of the Padres. He won the National League MVP and National League Cy Young Award in 2014.
