As relayed by Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, outfielder Andrew McCutchen is out of the Pirates’ Grapefruit League lineup again on Sunday due to a “sore lower body” — McCutchen’s own words.
Nesbitt says McCutchen, who’s been sidelined since Thursday, wouldn’t elaborate further about the injury and couldn’t offer up a timetable for his return to action. But the perennial MVP candidate did add that he’s not at all concerned.
It’s probably nothing to worry about here in mid-March. Few players have appeared in more games over the last five years than ‘Cutch.
