On Friday afternoon against the Tigers, Mets starter Matt Harvey returned to game action for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in October 2013. As Craig Calcaterra wrote following Harvey’s stint, “It was pretty darn good.”
But we’ll let you be the judge of that. Here’s some MLB.com video of Harvey’s two innings of work.

High 90’s fastball, devastating breaking ball. Easy delivery. Yeah, that’s the Harvey we remember.
Harvey, who turns 26 towards the end of March, has a career 2.39 ERA with a 261/57 K/BB ratio in 237 2/3 innings. His return to the Mets’ rotation could go a long way towards making them competitive throughout the 2015 season.
